Now on Tap at the Blue Heron Brewpub - MASH #3, Recipe created by the MASH Club on Tap 5-6-2010 Mindblock* – Germany has bocks for nearly every time of year. Maibock (literally May Bock in German), sometimes called "Blonde Bock", celebrates the arrival of spring and transition to summer. Drier and hoppier than a traditional bock with light toasted malt notes. 7% ABV Bitterness: Moderate
MASH TAP #2 "LUSCIOUS BLACK" by James Vokoun 1-7-2010 Luscious Black is a sweet, full bodied, and oh sooo smooooth blend of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. Sometimes referred to as a sweet or milk stout due to use of lactose (milk sugar). This beer is based on James' award winning homebrewed recipe. MASH TAP #1 "Lazy Otter" by Gary Plank 10-01-2009 "Lazy Otter" is an English Special Bitter (E.S.B for short) that features English malts, hops, and yeast. This shimmering golden beer has a slightly sweet and fruity aroma from quirky English yeast, toasty malt presence, and a very British resiny/earthy hop finish that dries the palate. This beer is going to make you want to order up a plate of fish and chips, and I think it is going to go well with a lot of the pub's food. A tad over 5% ABV makes it a wonderful social/sesson beer. |
